The Greek Computer Society (ΕΠΥ) and the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopio University of Athens organize the 18th Panhellenic Conference on Informatics (PCI 2014) in Athens, Greece, on 2nd-4th of October 2014.
The 1st Pan-Hellenic Conference took place in Athens 1984. Subsequent events took place in Thessaloniki (1988), Athens (1991, 1993, 1995, 1997), Ioannina (1999), Nicosia Cyprus (2001), Thessaloniki (2003), Volos (2005), Patras (2007), Samos (2008), Corfu Island (2009), Tripoli (2010), Kastoria (2011), Piraeus (2012) and Thessaloniki (2013).
PCI 2014 aims to provide an effective channel of communication between decision-makers (government, ministries and state agencies), researchers (universities, research and development centres, start-up centres and incubators), practitioners (SME leaders and managers) and persons concerned with the latest research, scientific development and practice on ICT in order to discuss topics that are of current, relevance and significance for national competitiveness as well as sustainable, robust, and equitable regional development.
PCI 2014 will have 3 tracks: the research papers track, the research projects results track and the special sessions track.
The PCI 2014 will run in parallel sessions, with keynote lectures, research and case study tracks, workshops and fishbowl panels. PCI encourages the submission of high quality papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of Computer Science.
There is also the option to organize Special Sessions on a specific topic. More details will be announced soon.
